Our Designer
Many years ago in a town far, far away…… Wait a minute…. You don’t need to hear all the history, do you? Well, maybe this friendship BEGAN many years ago, but fast forward to December 2018, and one friend’s talent merged with two other friends’ design taste to create the perfect product for a rustic-themed custom-made Christmas.
During college, Tracey and I became friends via online chat rooms (anyone remember the days of AOL?). We then discovered that we only lived about 30 minutes from each other in our respective college towns. After college, we became roommates with shared interests and lots of laughter! Tracey was pursuing graphic design, and I was still finding my post-college path. After a couple of years went by, she leaped on an opportunity to start an adventure in a new town with a job focused on her pursuit. I was VERY sad to see her go, but I was thrilled that she had such a great opportunity come her way.
Over the years, Tracey and I have stayed in touch, and Facebook has made that process much easier! Although we haven’t been able to connect in person in a number of years, the miles seem much shorter with the availability of social media. She has continued to grow in her passion for art and design, as well as her natural, God-given talent. Tracey’s site showcases her lovely collection of original artwork as an artist/illustrator, her special niche now. Her enviable creativity allows her to consistently create fun, fresh content.
Themed Christmas
James and I love Christmas, and we love to coordinate our wrapping paper with whatever theme we have decided on for the tree. This year’s plan was for a rustic-themed Christmas with a woodsy feel. Several months ago, I was browsing Tracey’s business site, Noonday Design, to see her current artwork. I stumbled across a pattern that was the perfect fit for our planned theme! Because we love to support our friends with small businesses, I reached out to Tracey to discuss options of having her design made into wrapping paper. Then, the planning began!
In the summer, she had helped design some awesome invitations for an event, and the printer she used also did an amazing job printing and shipping the final product. She indicated that it would be the same printer used for this wrapping paper, and we were thrilled!
You can order Tracey’s designs on 20″ x 29″ sheets of heavyweight paper and select either glossy or matte finish. We decided on matte for this particular design, since that fits better with a rustic theme. We paid our invoice to Tracey via PayPal, and the order was in the works!
The Arrival of the Package
Similar to the invitations, the printing was done lickety-split. Our wrapping paper arrived before we even had a chance to track the package. Our custom-made Christmas was on its way to even greater reality! The finished wrapping paper was shipped with all sheets rolled together, then packed safely in a heavyweight tube.
We could not have been happier with the final results! The paper was some of the best quality paper we have ever used (and we are super picky!). It also arrived in pristine condition from the printer. Tracey provides stellar customer service, as well, and we were thrilled to have something so personalized under the tree. Here is another gallery of photos that show various views of the packaging and Tracey’s awesome design.
Our Review and Recommendation
If you like products that are not run-of-the-mill, and you are willing to spend just a little more on something that will truly be unique, I would recommend some custom-made wrapping paper from Noonday Design. You will not be disappointed! You may not be in the market for either custom-made Christmas or everyday wrapping paper, but check out her website anyway! She has some fantastic stuff on her website, and her awesome products are already in both the domestic and international retail sectors.
